Memory match game
The special edition of One Bright Day In The Middle Of The Zoo with the Memory card game instructions are here!
#1 Remove front and back panels of the book with the animal cards
Inside both the front and back cover of this special edition are a tear out page of animal portrait cards. There are twelve cards in the front page, and twelve on the back page. fold along the perferation near the spine of the book and carefully detach front and back portratiat card pages from the book.
Detach cards
Separate all 12 cards on each page by folding along the perferations and gently seperating each card from the others. you should end up with 12 matching pairs of cards. two tigers, two hippos, two monkeys, ect.
Shuffle the cards
shuffle the cards and place them face down in any pattern you'd like! Use your imagination and see how many different patterns you can make!
Start the game!
The first player picks any one card and turns it over, then picks any other card and turns it over as well. if the cards match (Eg: 2 tigers) player picks up cards and keeps as a "book" and plays again.
If cards don't match both cards are turned back over and player one has finished his turn. Player two then takes a turn by turning over any two cards. If cards match, player two keeps cards as a "book" and plays again If not, cards get turned back over and next player plays.
Play continues untill all matches are made, and there are no more card left on the table upside down. The winner is the player with the most matching cards or "books"
